Do Muscles Make You Live Longer?
Everybody over the age of 40 Needs To Hear This! Your life, meaning your Quality of Life, literally depends upon it. There is time to fix things, but there’s also a point of no return.
Maintaining muscle health enhances survivability rates, with more substantial muscle mass offering a higher metabolic health, which acts as a survival mechanism, especially in critical diseases like cancer. Sam Ridgeway emphasizes the importance of strength for longevity. As individuals age, particularly after 40, hormonal imbalances can hinder muscle retention, affecting metabolism, hair, skin, nails, cognitive clarity, and sexual functions. Addressing these imbalances with bioidentical hormones can rejuvenate the body, making it respond better to workouts. Without the right hormonal resources, rigorous exercise remains ineffective. Hormone therapy provides these necessary resources, akin to supplying all the bricks required to build a house. With a revitalized body, personal confidence increases, leading to better decisions and improved financial and social outcomes. Sam notes the societal perceptions based on physical appearance, stressing the health implications of being overweight. Hormone therapy isn’t a magical fix; it requires work and time. But it optimizes the body’s systems and fosters growth at the cellular level. Despite aging, Sam feels in his best shape in recent decades, attributing his vitality to hormone therapy.

Muscle health, we know that those with better muscle mass, more healthy muscle mass have a greater survivability. The stronger you are, the more healthy muscle mass you have, the more metabolately healthy you will be. If you get injured or, God forbid, get a highly critical disease like cancer, skeletal muscle is going to be your survival mechanism.

I don’t know how many more people have to tell you this, but if you get stronger, you live longer. And when you’re over 40, that comes down to hormones. You need to fix your hormones. Your body does not have the resources to keep lean muscle mass. Your metabolism slows down: hair, skin, nails, brain fog, libido, sexual function. All of this decreases as you get older. So fix it. All you’re doing is putting bioidentical hormones back in your body. Your body doesn’t even know it didn’t make them. No matter how hard you work out at the gym, if you don’t have the resources, you’re not going to make any gains. You see these people all the time. They go to the gym, they work with a personal trainer. Two months later, they still look like shit. Why? Because their body doesn’t have the resources to make… They’re working hard enough, that’s not the problem. Their body doesn’t have the resources to fix themselves, repair themselves, grow. It’s like if you’re trying to build a house and you only have half the bricks. I don’t care how hard you try, you’re never going to build the house. Hormone therapy puts all of that back in your body, takes you back a couple of decades.

Everything in your life increases exponentially. That ripple effect goes off into your regular life. You do better financially, which then turns around and makes everything in your life better because now you’re living in the VIP section. All of it came about because you made good decisions and you made good decisions because you were confident in yourself. If you look in the mirror and you don’t be like, I’m not seeing you. Oh, my God. No, not that. But you need to look in the mirror and you need to say, I’m good with that. I feel like I’m comfortable with myself. Then when you go out into the world, it’s a totally different place. People see that confidence in you and they treat you accordingly. When I was 400 pounds and now are two totally different receptions that I get from somebody that I didn’t know. Right now, I’m automatically, not because of me, but it’s because people assume if you’re willing to take care of yourself, you must have your shit together. That’s the thought that goes, They don’t even know you yet. You haven’t even opened your mouth. They just see you from across the room and they’re like, That guy’s got his shit together.

If you’re fat and you’re overweight, cross the room, that guy’s a fucking slob. That’s exactly how it happens. It wouldn’t be the same if it wasn’t unhealthy, but it’s unhealthy to be overweight. But again, your body lacks the resources to make all of your systems optimal to function at optimal levels. Hormone therapy puts that ability back in your body. It’s not a miracle drug. You’re still going to have to work. You’re still looking at six months down the road, but you didn’t get where you are in six months. You’re not going to get out of it in six months either. Call Viking. We can help. We do labs, find out where you are, what you’re deficient in, and we put that back into you so that your body can repair, so your body can grow, so it can fix your systems at the cellular level. Even at 56 years old, I feel like I’m in – not the best shape of my life, I wouldn’t say, because obviously when I was 20, I could do whatever the hell I wanted to, and it didn’t affect me. That was probably the best shape of my life. But in the past three decades from my 30s on, yeah, 56, I am in the best shape that I’ve been since then, and I owe it all to hormone therapy.
