Male Bag Segment – How Do You Get Motivated to Get Back Into the Gym? The question from one of our subscribers is, “How do I get motivated to go back to the gym and stay there?” I give you my opinion, formed from my life experiences. You have to get results in order to maintain motivation. The trifecta of excercise, diet, and supplements is an amazing way to be able to maintain motivation because results are real, they are visiable, and you feel better – so much better.
I tried to lose weight for years and I failed miserably, over and over again. I’d try one diet, then I’d try another. In fact, it almost got comical because Monday’s, in my head, were “Diet Days”. I had every intention of doing it right “Next Time”. But usually by Tuesday, Wednesday at the latest, I had screwed the whole thing up so bad that I figured I’d just start again on Monday. It’s not only frustrating, it’s demeaning, emasculating… in fact, since you’re usually overweight because you’re an emotional eater, do you think beating yourself up over failure after failure helps curb your appetite? Of course it doesn’t. As crazy as it sounds, I would actually eat more during the rest of the week because I figured… I might as well enjoy myself before I started the “Real” diet again on Monday. I gave myself permission to overeat. Sometimes I wonder if I didn’t subconsciously lie to myself about “really trying” on Monday because I was just using it as an excuse to eat whatever the hell I wanted from Wednesday through Sunday. It doesn’t even matter I suppose. It was an epic failure, week after week. Which turned […]

It could make a world of difference. It’s day 51 of the Ripped at 50 DocuSeries and it’s time for another round of pictures as well as my assessment of how the diet is going. Now the last video I did was on Day 31… so some might ask, “Why the delay? Why wait over two weeks to post an update?” I’m […]

How you lift should depend on many factors, including age. What worked for us at 20 years old probably doesn’t work at age 51… or at least it’s probably not a good idea. Working out after 40 requires adjustments to your training regiment. What are those adjustments and how can you minimize your chances of injury? In this video I address the concept of Training to Failure. Should you do it? And, if so, how? Remember, you’re never too Old to Live Like A Viking!
You can follow this plan with me! All we have to do is make a few modifications, use a little math, and BOOM! You have a couple thousand dollars of information for FREE! Let’s go! “Whatever It Takes” is a docuseries where a… let’s be nice and say “Husky” 51 year-old purchases the expertise of an IFBB Pro Bodybuilder to take him from the brink of “Fluffy” to Ripped and Shredded.
